Sunday Link Love #23

We are halfway through this calendar year. The school year is almost over. Have you accomplished what you meant to this first half of the year? This has me thinking about my own goals. More on that later!

How are you this week?

Each week in 2018 I’ll be sending you articles that have sparked my interest because they are all about Self-Care and Life Satisfaction.

Sometimes You Win The Race Because Everyone Else Stops Running – Oh YES.

The Best Hairstyles For Working Out (or living on the surface of the sun like I do) – and How To Make Them Look Polished After – Ever since I started Trainer In Your Backpocket, I have needed some help pulling myself back together after.

One Simple Question Unlocked My Best Self-Care – .so simple.

12 Simple Steps to Green Your Home – I am always looking for ways to make more environmental choices at home. For me it about using safer products for me, my family and the planet. This is one of the many reasons I am now a BeautyCounter consultant. I love their safer personal products.

I can’t even believe it is already Memorial Day weekend. Time sure seems to be moving quickly around here.

How are you this week?

Each week in 2018 I’ll be sending you articles that have sparked my interest because they are all about Self-Care and Life Satisfaction.

Safer Sunscreen Guide – all Environmental Working Group rated safe and in a wide range of price points. If you are like me, you’ve been on the hunt for safer sunscreen that works well, doesn’t break the bank and maybe even smells good. Conventional sunscreens are full of ingredients which are harmful to our bodies and some can even cause cancer. I’ve tried so many greener/cleaner sunscreens that didn’t work for me. I recently switched to BeautyCounter CounterSun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 and love it because it is non greasy, I can wear it under makeup and it doesn’t leave a white film on my skin.

Why Highly Sensitive People Need Minimalism – Are you HSP? I am and I can tell you the less stuff around, the happier I am.

You Don’t Have to Sacrifice Everything For A Cause says #MeToo Movement Creator, Tarana Burke – joy and raising a child who embodies what we want to see in the world. Co-sign.

Let It All Go: Sage Smudging – The Where, Why, What – love these gorgeous bundles by a local Sacramento artist.

Navigating Social Situations When You Don’t Drink – loved this topic. I gave up booze four years ago when my mom got sick. I just couldn’t cope with the aftermath of a night of drinking, being in grief and parenting a toddler. It has been weirdly low-key (for the most part) and I haven’t really looked back. Would you ever give up drinking?

Yale’s Most Popular Class Ever Is About Happiness – and we can take it for free!

Why Hire a Life Coach? – Are you ready? Let’s talk!

I have been in and out (mostly in) therapy for more than 35 years. It has been life altering to say the least. I am the biggest advocate for getting what you need to help with mental health issues.

I’d love to know what you are reading,  watching and listening to these days. Tell me all about it!

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Tami

Took my little to a baseball game, spent a day sitting on the grass chatting to friends and watching our kids dance, cheer and generally exhibit hilarious baseball fan behavior. This is a reminder to do this more. I am not even a baseball fan per se and yet it was absolutely delightful!
